Wilsons Plover Shells-4642.jpg
A juvenile Wilson's plover scampers across the colonial nesting area where hundreds of these bird's can be found scattered about. Wilson's plovers prefer to nest in areas where the ocean overwashes barrier islands and beaches and piles up countless small shells which the birds camouflage their nests and eggs with.
